My Journey Into the Travel Industry
Travel has always been a huge part of my life. For over 25 years, I’ve never stopped exploring the world.
From over 30 safaris, standing face to face with mountain gorillas in Uganda, to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro I’ve been lucky enough to experience some truly unforgettable moments. I’ve also enjoyed more than 10 cruises, countless beach escapes, and a wide variety of tours across the globe.
For me, travel has never just been about ticking destinations off a list it’s about freedom, adventure, and creating memories that last a lifetime. That passion has always been there.
Before becoming a travel agent, I spent 25 years building businesses.
I started with 16 years in a corporate manufacturing company, working my way up into a leadership role within supply chain finance. That gave me a strong understanding of how businesses operate behind the scenes.
I then went on to co-run a multi-million pound commercial garden furniture business with my husband for 8 years, where I gained hands-on experience in growing and managing a successful company.
But despite all of that, I wanted more flexibility. I wanted the freedom to travel more and build a business that worked around my life not the other way round.
So I made a change.
Today, I’ve built a thriving business as an independent travel agent, combining my business experience with something I’ve always loved: travel.
And what I’m most passionate about now is helping others realise that they can do this too.
You don’t need a background in travel. You don’t need years of experience. Whether you’re coming from corporate, running your own business, or starting something completely new this can work for you.
With the right support, training, and guidance, it’s possible to build a flexible travel business that fits around your lifestyle whether that’s part-time or full-time.
